Happy Monday!
I recently visited the desert and had the opportunity to meet the sweetest photographer named Bree. I’m still amazed by how she captured the beauty of the desert. We shot at sunset and it was absolutely stunning. I was in awe of the desert landscape – the cactus, the flowers, the mountains – and I kept thinking – wow, I hope she can get all of “this” in the pictures. She totally did. Amazing.
Being from Colorado, I am surrounded by the most beautiful landscapes every day. No matter the season, I love the mountains. But there is just something about the southwest that strikes a cord with my heart. I went to undergrad in Arizona and the desert reminds me of that special time in my life. I will always have an affinity for the palm trees and the warm sunshine!
I picked up this cute dress from Pinks before my trip. It is such a great piece for travel because it is literally that dress you can crumple up in your suit case, yet it never looks wrinkled. I love the asymmetrical hemline – this works well on both tall and short frames (and anything in between). I paired the dress with tall gladiators and a cropped jean jacket.
{Visit or call Pinks if you’d love this dress. Otherwise, I’ve linked several asymmetrical options in the widgets above.}
I cannot say enough about these gladiators. I’ve paired them with several outfits in the short time I’ve had them. I love that they are flat, yet provide some drama to any outfit. They also come in a nude color that I have on my wish list!
Here’s to a great week – already dreaming of my next desert vacation!
xoxo
